If you are a true makeup junkie like me, you squealed a bit when you heard that not only was Max Factor coming back to the states, but that makeup legend Pat McGrath was behind the new launch. Cosmetician Max Factor was known as the father of makeup – actually coining the term – and the brand has played a major role in setting celebrity beauty trends since 1916 before kissing the US goodbye in 2009. Now, Pat serves as the iconic brand’s global creative design director and has personally selected three makeup must-haves for the limited edition return.
“Each product was selected specifically to give you a modern look with a classic twist—cat eye with a nude or rose lip,” Pat said in a recent Allure interview. “Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Eyeliner is a liquid liner, but it has the control of a pencil. The Masterpiece Max Mascara has a really cool iFX brush with microchannels between each bristle to deliver more mascara to each lash. And the Max Factor Lipstick actually makes lips more moisturized every time you use it.”
